Strengthening Connections Across the Tourism Industry

Panomax marked a highly productive presence at FITUR this year, an event that once again confirmed its importance as a key global meeting point for the tourism industry. This edition demonstrated remarkable growth, particularly within the FITUR Cruises segment, which continues to evolve into a vital platform for meaningful dialogue, strategic alignment, and industry collaboration.

Throughout the event, the Panomax team was actively engaged across multiple areasPedro Boudreau and Verena Hafner represented Panomax across our overall activities, focusing on partnerships, ongoing projects, and broader strategic conversations. In parallel, Daniel Silva represented Panomax Cruises & Yachts, leading targeted discussions with sales representatives from international cruise and yacht brands present at the fair.

Overall, FITUR proved to be a highly positive and rewarding experience for the Panomax team, reinforcing existing relationships and opening the door to new opportunities.

Looking ahead, we are already preparing for our next major industry engagement: the CLIA European Week Summit, which will take place in Funchal, Madeira.
We look forward to continuing the conversation there.

The cruise passenger of 2026 is younger, more connected, and more experience-driven than ever before. According to the latest reports from Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) , the industry welcomed over 31 million passengers in 2023, surpassing pre-pandemic levels. A significant share of that growth comes from first-time cruisers and younger demographics, particularly Millennials and Gen X. Younger & Experience-Led Today’s passengers prioritise immersive itineraries, authentic shore experiences, and visually compelling destinations. As highlighted across industry discussions at Seatrade Cruise News , expedition cruising and culturally rich routes continue to gain traction — especially among travellers under 40. Multi-Generational Travel Cruising is also increasingly chosen for multi-generational trips. The balance between shared activities and personal freedom makes it an ideal format for families travelling together. Sustainability Matters Environmental awareness is now a booking factor. CLIA data shows that sustainability initiatives, from alternative fuels to shore power adoption, are influencing passenger perception and brand trust. Visually Driven Decisions The modern cruise guest researches visually, books emotionally, and shares socially. High-quality imagery and immersive previews are no longer optional, they shape destination choice and onboard expectations. The takeaway? Tomorrow’s passenger is digitally native, sustainability-conscious, and motivated by meaningful experiences. The industry’s future will be shaped by those who understand not just where guests want to travel, but how they want to feel before they even board. The CLIA European Summit 2026 in Funchal once again confirmed why Madeira stands as one of the most relevant meeting points for the European cruise industry. 🚢 Over several dynamic days, one message resonated across panels, policy discussions, and executive sessions: the cruise sector is evolving, becoming more resilient, more technologically advanced, and increasingly committed to a sustainable maritime future . The strategic direction is clear, ambitious, and filled with opportunity. ✨ Panomax Cruises & Yachts was proud to participate in the Suppliers Spotlight, presenting our latest technological developments and demonstrating how high-resolution panoramic imaging continues to elevate destination storytelling, strengthen brand positioning, and enhance onboard guest engagement. Yet beyond the formal agenda, the true value of the Summit was found in the connections. Meaningful, face-to-face conversations that transform ideas into collaborations and professional encounters into long-term partnerships.

In today’s travel industry, visual content has evolved far beyond traditional promotional imagery . Travellers, passengers, and guests increasingly seek authentic, real-time perspectives that reflect the true atmosphere of a destination or experience, not just a curated highlight. Real-time panoramic imagery plays a growing role in how destinations and cruise brands build trust, manage expectations, and inspire travel decisions. By offering a continuous, live view of a place, brands move from presenting an image to creating a sense of presence, allowing audiences to connect emotionally before they ever arrive. 🏖️ For destinations, this transparency strengthens credibility and reinforces seasonal relevance. 🚢 For cruise lines and yachts, it enhances the passenger journey by extending the onboard experience beyond the ship , maintaining a visual connection with ports and landscapes throughout the voyage. As the industry continues to shift towards more experience-driven travel, real-time visual storytelling is no longer optional, it is becoming a strategic tool. One that supports engagement, reinforces brand confidence, and transforms how destinations and journeys are perceived.
